Animal instinct

Animal instinct
Suddenly something has happened to me
As I was having my cup of tea
Suddenly I was felling depressed
I was utterly and totally stressed
Do you know you made me cry?
Do you know you made me die?

And the thing that gets to me
Is you'll never really see
And the thing that freaks me out
Is I'll always be in doubt
It is a lovely thing that we have
It is a lovely thing, the animal
The animal instinct

So take my hands and come with me
We will change reality
So take my hands and we will pray
They won't take you away
They will never make me cry, no
They will never make me die
And the things that gets to me
Is you'll never really see
And the thing that freaks me out
Is I'll always be in doubt

The animal, the animal,
the animal instinct in me
It's the animal, the animal,
the animal instinct in me
It's the animal, it's the animal
It's the animal instinct in me

Nov 26th, 2010

A day not so far from now...
When I may know the truth, or may not,
When I may be released from my sorrow.
Think what I really do think,
And do what I really do want to do.
Be strong, my dear !!!

Richard Clayderman - Mariage D'amour

Finally, I can record the first version for one of my favourite songs - Mariage D'amour, composed by a famous French pianist - Richard Clayderman.
I like the way the melody goes in this song, simply, peacefully, yet romantically... I let my feeling goes as the melody of the song starts.. Even though my skill is not so good yet, I try to enjoy the melody in the way i feel like.
So I share it here, my dear friends :)

The Customs House - The University of Queensland

On the way to The Customs House

In front of The Customs House

Being an UQ student for almost 9 months, but this is the first time I've been in The Customs House for listening to the concert performed by UQ musical students. It is always good to learn something different from our professional field...especially the music, which is complementary to our life.
The customs House The heritage-listed Brisbane Customs House, our riverside base at 399 Queen Street in Brisbane's CBD, links University and community as a focal point for cultural and educational activities. The Customs House houses an art collection, and provides brasserie dining as well as facilities for corporate and private functions for up to 350 guests, including a boardroom for meetings, and a seminar room with audio-visual facilities. There is also a ballroom suitable for large gatherings, which holds a series of concerts presented by the University of Queensland School of Music.

The records here are the UQ viola ensembles, Deep Strings, directed by UQ director of Performance Studies, Patricia Pollett.

Shostakovich's piano Quintet 57

In this performance, the pianist was a Vietnamese master student-Linh Tran Thai. I was a bit suprised at first when i saw this name on the list, I already can tell for sure this is a Viet name :)

Fause Requiem

Unfortunately, the last 2 performances, my memory card was out of memory, I can't record for the whole piece.
It was an enjoyable time for me and my friend. I also would like to see the next performance with piano, one of the instrument i'd love to learn.
Have a good night ^^

And music is everywhere... ^.*

Riverfire in Brisbane 2009

I' ve been in Brisbane for almost 2 months. The time passes as fast as it could, I even imagined as if I was the one in the future of 2 or 3 year later, and remembering the things happening right now... Everything will be supported to come to its own order someday, I guess. Then "there comes a time when I must stand alone"..., but with many memories and many great friends still keeping their eyes on me, just to know how well I am.. Maybe those things are just simple spiritually but also the great encouragement, especially for me right now.
I was told to enjoy the new life and be my best. It will take quite long time for a stubborn people like me..For now, I slowly get used to the new life and new schedule, open mind and really enjoy to the things surrounding.
The newest event that I really enjoyed is the "Brisbane Riverfire". Riverfestival is one of the annual events held each September at South bank parklands and surrounding area. Just a little reminder that the spring in Australia covers the months of Sep, Oct and Nov..which are completely different from other places.

In this map, my university (St Lucia) and my house (Auchenflower) locate in the yellow circle area. Brisbane city is situated on the Brisban River on a low-lying floodplain between Moreton Bay and the Great Dividing Range in South-Eastern Queensland (Wiki source)
It looks like a very long snack trying to crawl forward.
And here we go..the smaller area of Brisbane river where the fireworks were held. We stood near the South bank area.
Map for fireworks sites (yellow spot)

Before the fireworks...

Let's dress up..cheers :D

(To Thuy: finally I had to wear this ajuma small brown coat..coz it was cold:(.)

Just right before the fireworks started, there were 2 bright and noisy jets passed through the sky....attracted all attention

Some attempt to get my face in the fireworks frame :D, even through they were not really good

Riverfire under the bridge was the most fantastic scene in the festival. It was just like the brightest stream falling down to the river..dazzling and splendid. And a romantic music was turned on at the same time... all were awfully combined

The fireworks occurred in 30mins, quite long enough for my first firework photo collection. (using the tripod as papa's recommendation, but still some shaky :p)
The fireworks finished right after another couple of jets passed through the sky with the noisy sound..I could feel as if it was the boom explosion.

The end of Brisbane riverfire 2009

After the festival, thousands of people were going to the center city, to enjoy their night at the bar or the restaurant.
We got into a long waiting line of a Korean restaurant...we all were so hungry.

Eating the Korean food there reminded me much about the time I stayed in Korea

And..I was extremely full ...still keep smiling in front of the camera :D

Hope that you enjoy the fireworks, even thought just by the photo and short video.. I try to make as much record as I can to share my feeling and the new view with all my dear friends.

Cheers ^^

Simple, Fast..still Delicious ^^ -DMT style

Hello my dear friends,

I just started my day with a very special soup that i would like to share with all of you guys today ..."Beef soup with cilantro" (rau ngo` in Vietnamese).

(Cilantro-rau ngo`)
I will show you how to make a simple, fast but healthy soup, and all you need is just a microwave...This is my favorite soup that my dear mum used to make for me when I was young. She wanted me to gain more weight, because she was worried that I was a bit malnourished. So let's try it..I love this soup and I hope u ll love it too ^.~

* Protocol: - Receipts: chop beef, cilantro, salt and pepper

- Beef + salt + pepper + water, put all in microwave for 3 min

- Take out and use spoon to mix well all ingredients

- Add cilantro, then put in microwave for 30sec or 1min more

- Then...
We get it..just in 5 min. You can try it too someday when u get home quite late and feel tired, this soup will be great..^^

You also can add other vegetable, bean, tomato... or whatever u like to suit with your taste and favourite. Enjoy your food ^.*
